George Farha is a UCL alumnus (BEng Chemical Engineering 1991), and has supported the university through a number of philanthropic gestures, including the George Farha Café Bar and UCL’s scholarship programme.
In 2016 UCL announced the George Farha New Venture Awards for student entrepreneurs. The awards are made to UCL students who have developed the most promising start-ups after completing this year’s UCL Advances Idea Accelerator (AIA) – an 8-week entrepreneurial summer school for those looking to take their business ideas to market.
This year also saw the announcement of the Suha and George Farha MSc Scholarship. The award is open to UK/EU and Overseas applicants who have an unconditional or conditional offer to study on the UCL MSc Prenatal Genetics & Fetal Medicine programme or the MSc Reproductive Science & Women’s Health programme for entry in September 2016 full time or modular/flexible. George Farha is a Member of the Circle of Benefactors of UCL.
